Those who travel around South-East Asia frequently visit the scattered islands of Indonesia. Everyone knows that backpackers enjoy partying meaning that there is an abundance of hot spots on the islands.
The bigger islands and resorts have more nightclubs and bars than some of the other islands. Jakarta, the capital on Java, is full of late night venues and is popular with tourists as the town is situated on Jakarta Bay. Many of the bars serve late into the night and some have live bands playing.
The other island which draws the most tourists is Bali which is also full of nightclubs and pubs. Just as UK residents travel to Greece and Spain for their breaks in the sun, Australians head straight for Bali. And just like Jakarta there are different ways to spend the night, whether in a packed bar or in a quiet café for some quieter drinks.
